Vacation!!! (in 7 month)

Jeff and I have finally decided it's our turn to go to Hawaii. I think we are the only 2 people left on earth that has not been to Hawaii.. After research on the best prices we booked our trip yesterday for 7 days in Kauai in August. Oh and did I mention Hannah is coming with us.. I'm so excited!!!

My Early Christmas Present

For those of you who know me know I always have my camera in my purse. I purchased a new camera 3 weeks before Christmas. It's a Canon Rebel xsi.. A little to big to fit in my purse. My husband bought me a camera bag so I now carry my purse along with a big camera bag. I can't miss a photo opportunity..

Each year we have a tradition... We go to dinner (ususally mexican food) the night we purchase our christmas tree. Then off to the Christmas tree lot. Hannah and I usually take off running through all the trees and try to scare eachother.. It's pretty fun!! Jeff usually looks at us like we are crazy, BUT he joined in this year..

The Meaning of Christmas

After reading the book "Purpose of Christmas" it made me think about the true meaning of Christmas. So many people are pulled in so many directions from their daily lives that they don't stop to think about why we celibrate Christmas. I am guilty, I get so busy with the shopping each Christmas and working and just getting so busy that I forget to talk with my daughter and explain to her the true meaning of Christmas. In public school they can't get to religous, so it's up to us as parents to teach her. After reading this book I am going to start a new tradition. We will celibrate Jesus' birthday every year on Christmas Eve. Hannah and I will bake a cake and we will all sing Happy birthday to him.

Jonas Brothers here we come... Again

I just found out that the Jonas Brothers will be having another concert. This time it's in Vegas. I thought I would suprise Hannah and her little school friend and take them on a little road trip to Vegas.

It's going to work out perfectly. Her friend is camping out by Baker for the weekend (1 hour from Vegas) ... Sooooooo, Hannah and I will wake up early and drive to Baker where they will both be suprised to see eachother.. I bought them both matching Jonas Brothers t-shirts. I will have them open them up and that is when they will both find out that they are going to the concert. After the concert we will all venture home for probably the worlds best nights rest...
