The Meaning of Christmas
After reading the book "Purpose of Christmas" it made me think about the true meaning of Christmas. So many people are pulled in so many directions from their daily lives that they don't stop to think about why we celibrate Christmas. I am guilty, I get so busy with the shopping each Christmas and working and just getting so busy that I forget to talk with my daughter and explain to her the true meaning of Christmas. In public school they can't get to religous, so it's up to us as parents to teach her. After reading this book I am going to start a new tradition. We will celibrate Jesus' birthday every year on Christmas Eve. Hannah and I will bake a cake and we will all sing Happy birthday to him.

The Purpose of Christmas
If you stop to think about it, it is astounding that the simple, unassuming birth of a peasant baby boy more than two thousand years ago in the Middle East can today cause traffic jams every December in places like New York City, Tokyo, and Rio de Janeiro.
The night Jesus Christ was born in Bethlehem, a small group of poor shepherds were quietly tending their flocks of sheep in a nearby field, looking up at the stars. Nothing seemed any different from a thousand other nights. But what was about to happen would transform not only their lives but billions of other lives as well. The world would never be the same again.
Regardless of your background, religion, problems, or circumstances, Christmas really is the best news you could get. In his powerful yet compassionate voice, Rick Warren explains how God designed Christmas to meet your three deepest needs and how understanding and receiving God's three Christmas gifts to you will transform your life forever.
If you feel that Christmas has become nothing more than a source of emotional and financial stress - If somewhere along the line you lost "the reason for the season"...
You need to hear this powerful little book! I read it lastnight in about an hour and am so inspired by it. I recommend this book to everyone.

Jonas Brothers here we come... Again
It's going to work out perfectly. Her friend is camping out by Baker for the weekend (1 hour from Vegas) ... Sooooooo, Hannah and I will wake up early and drive to Baker where they will both be suprised to see eachother.. I bought them both matching Jonas Brothers t-shirts. I will have them open them up and that is when they will both find out that they are going to the concert. After the concert we will all venture home for probably the worlds best nights rest...

Might be a Crazy Move
My husband and I are thinking about moving into a bigger house. With another child, it might get a little crowded in our 2 bedroom 1 bath house. Although we do have a pretty nice back yard with a new pool. Soooo, we have decided to rent our current house out and purchase a new one. Since our economy is in the dumps it might benifit us right now. I'm a little nervous, I am scared to get bad renters, but that's the chance you have to take. Wish us luck!!!

The Most Exciting News!!
About 7 years ago I found out I had cervical cancer.. After years and years of battleing it my doctor advised my husband and I not to have children at that time. Jeff and I put a lot of thought into the situation and thought the best thing is to get him fix. Well, I have been cancer free for a year now. I spoke to my doctor about having kids and he said if we are to have anymore childern, now would be the best time. He would like me to get a surgery when I'm 30 that might prevent me from ever having kids. Soooooooo with that said, My wonderful, amazing, spectacular husband, Jeff is going under the knife to get a reversal.. I am so excited!!! I hope all works out. Our plan is to be pregnant by November.. I will keep everyone posted.

A . A . A . D . D . ...
"Age Activated Attention Deficit Disorder "
I know I'm not the only one out there that has days like this!!!
This is how it manifests:
I decide to water my garden.
As I turn on the hose in the driveway,
I look over at my car and decide it needs washing.
As I start toward the garage,
I notice mail on the porch table that
I brought up from the mail box earlier.
I decide to go through the mail before I wash the car.
I lay my car keys on the table, put the junk mail in the garbage can under the table, and notice that the can is full.
So, I decide to put the bills back on the table and take out th e garbage first.
But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox
when I take out the garbage anyway,
I may as well pay the bills first.
I take my check book off the table,
and see that there is only one check left.
My extra checks are in my desk in the study, so I go inside the house to my desk where
I find the can of Pepsi I'd been drinking.
I'm going to look for my checks, first I need to push the Pepsi aside
so that I don't accidentally knock it over.
The Pepsi is getting warm, and I decide to put it in the refrigerator to keep it cold.
As I head toward the kitchen with the Pepsi, a vase of flowers on the counter catches my eye-- they need water.
I put the Pepsi on the counter and discover my reading glasses that I've been searching for all morning.
I decide I better put them back on my desk, but first I'm going to water the flowers.
I set the glasses back down on the counter, fill a container with water and suddenly spot the TV remote.
Someone left it on the kitchen table.
I realize that tonight when we go to watch TV, I'll be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the flowers.
I pour some water in the flowers, but quite a bit of it spills on the floor.
So, I set the remote back on the table, get some towels and wipe up the spill.
Then, I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.
At the end of the day:
the car isn't washed
the bills aren't paid
there is a warm can of Pepsi sitting on the counter
the flowers don't have enough water,
there is still only 1 check in my check book,
I can't find the remote,
I can't find my glasses,
and I don't remember what I did with the car keys.
Then, when I try to figure out why nothing got done today,
I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day, and I'm really tired.
I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it,
but first I'll check my e-mail....

What is Wrong With People??
Ok, so I haven't ever used this blog thing to vent, but I need to get something off of my chest. Everyone that I am around has more than 2 kids.. I only have one, therefore I am criticized. I am always told that my child is going to grow up spoiled or she will never learn the real world... Ok so I get her limo rides for her birthday (I haven't heard the end of that one) I throw her parties through out the year. ( I like her to be able to have fun with her friends) We go shopping and she always ends up with something even if I am not going shopping for her. Christmas morning at our house looks like there is more than 1 child that lives there...I take her to concerts (Hannah Montana, Aly and AJ) And so on...
Hannah in my eyes is the best child any parent could ever ask for. She works hard in school to get good grades and works on getting every award and the end of each semester (which she gets both). She knows what no means. She will never throw a fit when I tell her no. She does know the real world. We do a lot for childerns homes and we get involved with as much as we can to help out the less fortunate..
I have a friend that is on her 5th child. I think that is awesome! If I was able to have more childern I think I would be side by side with her. People criticize her for having to many kids. And here I am getting picked on and criticized for only having one...
What is wrong with people!!! Can't they mind their own business and be happy for people???? If I want to get a limo every month for my child that's my business. If I want to buy her a pony that's also my business. If I want to buy her a pair of shoes each week, that's also my business..
Is there anyone out there that is positive and can be happy for others??

Our Newest Project
For those of you that have seen my house, you know it's small. It's 2 bedrooms and 1 1/2 bath. We were talking about adding on last summer, but ended up getting a pool instead. Last weekend we were talking about how nice it would be to have a play room/game room... Well, a week later, we have a play room/game room... It isn't 100% complete, but it will be by next week. I will post before and after pictures for you all to see.... I now live in a 3 bedroom house.. Yeah me!! I'm moving up in the world..

Referee Team
Jeff and I have become Hannah's team referees for he soccer team. My first day out on the field as a ref was this past Saturday.... I was so nervous I made such bad calls. I let the other team after scoring take the kick off. Bad call Julie!! Oh well. I guess I deserve it. I shouldn't have copied Jeff's test.

The Dentist
I have gone my entire 27 years of life without a cavity... I went to the dentist the other day (I hate the dentist) and they told me I have my first cavity. I felt like my world has come to an end. A CAVITY!!! I asked the dentist if she could floss it out... She looked at me like I was crazy..
I went last Friday to get a filling... That visit was also my very last visit.. I can deal with any kind of surgery or pain, but I can't deal with pain in my mouth. I am so glad I was blessed with nice teeth cause I'm not EVER going back to the dentist.. I sure hope Hannah has nice teeth. She is in for a treat..
